Workshops and seminars

Various seminars, workshops, interactive sessions and brainstorming discussions with people from industry and eminent IT professionals and academicians are organized by DSCIT which promotes intellectual growth among students. Thus, inculcating an interactive work and academic environment

Workshop on Service Oriented Architecture (4th February 2008):

Workshop on the emerging IBM technology Service Oriented Architecture was organized in DSCIT for the faculties and students. The three days workshop was the first SOA workshop across the country by IBM. The technical expert Mr. Vikas Manoria trained the participants followed by an online SOA Certification Exam.

Workshop on .Net Technology (March 7th): 

 

Workshop on .Net technology was organized by QBit experts for enhancement of the knowledge base of the students in real time IT scenario. The workshop highlighted a comparative study of different tools and technologies used in IT industry.

 

TGMC Final round evaluation (March 3rd- 2007)

The IBM Corporation USA had started an Academic Initiative mission across the globe. This programme was aimed to fill the technological gap between the academia and industry. Under this academic Initiative programme, IBM conducted a national level competition for all the technical colleges across India named “The Great Mind Challenge 2007”.

 

For this competition, IBM gave various project scenarios to the students participating and to assist them in developing these projects, IBM organized various technical workshops and provided free software packages across the globe. MAISM was the pioneer for these workshops and hosted the maximum number of these technical sessions and Faculty development programmes.

Finally the final round evaluation of 12 projects from Rajasthan state by IBM experts was hosted by MAISM.

 

 

Achievements/Awards


Think Center National Award 2006 by IBM Corporation USA

 

 

In TGMC 2006 competition so far 700 colleges, 24000 students and 3000 faculty mentors participated. Amongst all the technical colleges in Rajasthan, Maharishi Arvind Institute of Science and Management (MAISM) Jaipur was selected by IBM and thus was privileged to host the final round evaluation in the month of March 2007.

 

MAISM was among the top 20 colleges across India and was selected for Think center National Award 2006 for outstanding contribution in innovations and Software Project development.

 

TGMC Award of Excellence 2007 IBM Corporation USA

 

In TGMC 2007, continuing the winning trend MAISM repeated the history and again hosted the grand finale of “TGMC 2007 “.

March 20th : The Maharishi Arvind Institute of Science and Management (MAISM) Jaipur was honored by The Award of Excellence for TGMC 2007. Dr. D.P. Sharma Principal, Computer Science Department received this Award in Institutional capacity from IBM Corporation USA in a grand function organized at The Leela Kempvinski Continental, Mumbai. This National Award was given to top 30 colleges across India. This Award is given for the outstanding contribution towards technological and academic excellence on IBM technologies. The department of MCA, Maharishi Arvind Institute of Science and Management Jaipur was among the top 30 colleges who proved their track record in technological and academic excellence.

 

 

Best IT Portal Innovation 2007 by PC Quest SMB (Edition March 2007 www.smbit.in)

In the field of IT Innovations these efforts are getting international fame too. Recently the job search engine developed for persons with disabilities was selected as the best portal solution by a survey conducted by PC Quest international IT magazine.
